See the yellowjacket building a nest? The location is the crazy part. This was shot from from the bottom of the globe for an insect-repellent candle! (Not that the candle had been burned recently.)

green things

The weird part here was the bunch of green globs, at least 18 of them, at the base of a tree outside the Convention Center in Philadelphia. Seed pods or flowers? Nope. Chewed gum.

crunch but what

A tractor-trailer failed to fit under a bridge on Callowhill Street in Philadelphia.

orange thingy

Somehow, after animals, probably squirrels, chewed away most of this pumpkin, they left enough so that the very long stem remained upright.

Stick your face in soft snow and you leave an impression that looks three-dimensional! This is the face of author Peter Mucha.
